Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
For Celtic Thunder, Sharon Browne has teamed up with Grammy-nominated Irish songwriting and composing veteran Phil Coulter to produce a show that includes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brothers in Arms" and "Desperado," as well as original compositions by Coulter, who has written hits for Elvis Presley ("My Boy") and the Bay City Rollers, and performed with Van Morrison, Tom Jones, and the Rolling Stones. The ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder reflect the power of the vocalists, who range in age from 14 to 40, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

Album Description
CD/DVD of the debut concert of Celtic Thunder was filmed on location at the Helix in Dublin, Ireland. The special features five male vocalists (ranging from 14 to 40 - Damian McGinty, Keith Harkin, Ryan Kelly, Paul Byrom, and George Donaldson) performing an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brothers in Arms" and "Desperado," as well as original compositions by Celtic Thunder's legendary musical director and composer Phil Coulter. Celtic Thunder roars with a 28 songlist of memorable songs including 'Raggle Taggle Gypsy','The Voyage', 'Steal Away', 'Ireland's Call', 'I Wanna Know what Love Is', 'Yesterday's Men' (bonus track) and more.

5 out of 5 stars Celtic Thunder   December 25, 2008
The voices are wonderful alone or together. The DVD is worth the purchase and the CD is a "must have". You don't have to be Irish to enjoy the music on this CD.

I WAS JUST RECENTLY EXPOSED TO THIS GROUP, AND I THINK THEY ARE GREAT. IT'S COMPLETLY DIFFERENT FROM ANY OTHER MUSIC I'VE LISTENED TO.

4 out of 5 stars Celtic Thunder CD   December 16, 2008
Being fans of Celtic Thunder we eagerly awaited this CD. We like it, but not as much as Celtic Thunder Act Two. Fewer tracks and strange song selection.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Music great show   December 16, 2008
I bought this album along with ActII. Good thing for me, They were both great ! I thoroughly enjoyed them. They are all obviously well trained musicians and do a great job of crossing the genre's Great Stuff...
