Amazon.com Ireland's world-class ambassadors the Chieftains seem determined to play with anyone who is anyone, regardless of genre. On The Bells of Dublin, they do an exceptional job of teaming up with the likes of rockers Jackson Browne and Elvis Costello, as well as songbirds Marianne Faithfull, Rickie Lee Jones, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, and Nanci Griffith. There are many resplendent performances here, the least of which is Costello and company's raucous "St. Stephen's Day Murders." Like a banquet of traditional Irish fare with some updating to accommodate individual guests, Bells is the kind of holiday record you don't want to end. --Martin Keller

The Bells of Dublin January 6, 2009 This CD was music my wife had for years on a tape. When Christmas rolled around she found that her new car only played CDs and she could not play a long time favorite. I found the CD (The Bells of Dublin) and purchased it. She is thrilled with it.
I placed the order and it arrived on schedule. She loves the CD. I give it five big gold stars.

Irish music buff December 26, 2008 This Cd is great, it has lots of different Irish and french Christmas songs on it. Very different, but I love it, and you will too.
Christmas with The Chieftains! December 12, 2008 The Chieftains are always and ever a huge delight to hear perform, and this CD is no exception. A wide selection of Christmas carols and songs sung as only they can. This is the first Christmas music I have had done by them and is not in ANY way a disappointment. Highly recommended to all Chieftains fans.
Chrismas with an Irish Twist December 8, 2008 This is a great Chieftains Christmas cassette. Very few of the songs on it are your run of the mill Christmas songs. I am guessing about 85% are Irish Christmas songs. With guest artists like: Jackson Browne, Marianne Faithfull, Rickie Lee Jones, and Burgess Meredith give it that extra holiday flavor to it. This cassette is great for anybody Christmas and\or Irish collection.
SAW THERE XMAS CONCERT IN 1991 !!!!!! October 25, 2008 Was lucky to get tickets for there Palm Springs, CA concert and also purchesed the cd "The Bells of Dublin" it is now a regular holiday habbit that we listen to it always. As a fact it is so well used that I am going to replace it with a cd, so that it can get a lot more use in my car. You can help but enjoy this type of music if you are any part of Irish.
